Yussuf Ayila Threatens To Report Metalist Kharkiv To Fifa Over Unpaid Wages
Published: February 27, 2015
Ukrainian - based Yussuf Ayila has hinted that he would be forced to take Metalist Kharkiv to the Dispute Resolution Chamber of Fifa if they fail to honour his contractual obligations.
The Nigeria international has voiced his displeasure over unpaid wages and the club’s nonchalant attitude towards his rehabilitation after picking up a serious knee injury in a Europa League game against Legia Warsaw last October.
The defender has confessed that he had to deny statements credited to him, where he spoke of unpaid entitlements.
“The fact is that after this interview, I spoke with Alexander Notchenko (CEO of Metalist ) and Vladimir Karpenko (first vice-president of Metalist ). We talked, like all normal people.
“But on their side nothing has been done - they have not assisted in the rehabilitation, and have not solved the problem of wage arrears. With me now, no one is talking,.
“Complaints FFU, UEFA? I start to work on it. I would say more, no one can be satisfied with the current situation at the club,” said Yussuf Ayila to Terrikon.com.
Before injury curtailed his appearances, Yussuf Ayila scored once in six Ukrainian Premier League games.
