Vancouver Whitecaps Starlet Sam Adekugbe Makes MLS Team Of The Week

Vancouver Whitecaps defender Sam Adekugbe has been named in the MLS Team of the Week for the latest round of matches.
The 20 - year - old was outstanding in Vancouver Whitecaps’ 1 - 0 away win over Chicago Fire on Saturday, assisting the defense shut out Nigerian forwards Kennedy Igboananike and Quincy Obinna Amarikwa.
The official website of the MLS said : “His two blocks in the first half helped keep the Fire off the board as the Whitecaps won 1 - 0 in Bridgeview.”
Sam Adekugbe, who has starred for the Canada Under 20s, immigrated to Calgary, Alberta along with his family in 2004.
Born in London, the left back is eligible to represent the national teams of England, Nigeria and Canada.
