Official : Omar Sowunmi Signs One - Year Deal With Yeovil Town

Through official channels, League Two side Yeovil Town have announced the signing of Anglo- Nigerian defender Omar Sowunmi, who was on the books of Ipswich Town last season.
The 19 - year - old has been offered a one - year contract by The Glovers after impressing manager Paul Sturrock in a trial game staged at Huish Park.
Speaking on his new acquisition, Sturrock told the club’s official website : “Omar stood out for me in the trial match we held at Huish Park.
“He is only 19-years-old and very mature for his age. He will certainly benefit a lot by working alongside Terry Skiverton.
“I feel he will have a very successful career and I am excited about him signing for Yeovil Town.”
Born in Colchester, Omar Sowunmi has stated that he will not turn down the opportunity to play for Nigeria if he’s handed a call - up.
