Published: July 11, 2015
Odion Ighalo was on target for Watford in their second pre - season friendly against Ade Akinfenwa’s AFC Wimbledon on Saturday afternoon.
Head Coach Quique Sanchez Flores picked the Super Eagle and Ikechi Anya in his starting line-up, while there was no spot in the team yet again for Uche Ikpeazu, a clear signal that he could be farmed out on loan for the third straight season.
Callum Kennedy put The Dons in front in the 12th minute after Ikechi Anya felled Tom Elliott but Ighalo restored parity in the 34th minute to take his tally to 3 goals in 2 pre - season games.
In the second half, Fernando Martin Forestieri gave The Hornets a 2 - 1 lead in the 52nd minute before George Francomb equalized from the spot right at the death.
AFC Wimbledon’s Akinfenwa was substituted before the start of the second half while Anya and Ighalo were in action for 64 minutes and 70 minutes respectively.
