Published: August 13, 2015
Lyngby summer recruit Oke Akpoevta did not waste time to get off the mark for the Danish First division club, hitting target in the 3 - 0 thrashing of Akademisk BK in the Danish Cup on Wednesday.
The former Warri Wolves star netted in the 55th minute at the Gladsaxe Stadion, meaning it took him 69 minutes to open his goalscoring account for The Royal Blues, having spent 15 minutes on the pitch during his debut game against Silkeborg IF last weekend.
Last season, while defending the colours of Brönshöj, Akpoveta played 12 matches and racked up 343 minutes before scoring his first goal for the club
“I’m very happy . This will increase my confidence to do better. The main target is to gain promotion to the Superliga ,but of course we are also ready for the Cup as well,” Oke Akpoveta told allnigeriasoccer.com.
“I hope to score a lot of goals as this will help the team to achieve promotion. We are number one on the league table after 3games , so expect more victories in the coming weeks.”
Akpoveta’s earliest time he spent on the pitch before opening his goalscoring account for a new club is 68 minutes which he achieved while sporting the jersey of Azerbaijani club Ravan during the 2013 - 14 season.
