Published: August 19, 2015
According to information gathered by allnigeriasoccer.com’s editorial staff, Dream Team VI star Junior Ajayi’s proposed switch to Tunisian club CS Sfaxien has hit the rocks.
Shortly after the Shooting Stars front - man failed to bag a deal with Esperance, CS Sfaxien higher - ups opened a line of communication with 36 Lion supremo, Liameed Olawale Gafar , over the possibility of the Nigeria Under - 23 international joining the Stade Taïeb Mhiri outfit.
Despite the parties earlier agreeing a transfer fee of $350,000, negotiations have finally collapsed after 36 Lion rejected the payment terms put forward by the Tunisian side.
CS Sfaxien had proposed to pay the transfer fee in installments, with the first payment to be made in August while the balance will be paid in December 2015 and February 2016.
Junior Ajayi was supposed to put pen to paper on a three - year contract, similar to the deal he was offered by Esperance, and would have earned $650,000 in total for the three seasons he signed.
