Coach Amuneke Wants Players To Step Up Preparations Ahead Showdown With United States
Published: October 06, 2015
Golden Eaglets coach Emmanuel Amuneke wants his wards to step up their World Cup preparations ahead of their opener against the United States at the Estadio Nacional Julio Martínez Prádanos, Santiago on October 17.
The defending world champions at Under 17 level have been training twice daily since arriving their training center in Ezeiza, Buenos Aires on Friday.
“I’m happy with the intensity of the training but we can get better,” Amuneke said on Monday in a press release published by the official website of the NFF, thenff.com.
“We have to keep working hard in the coming days because we have few days before our first match at the World Cup.”
The Nigeria Under 17s will have an idea of what to expect from Chile on October 20 at the World Cup, when they face Argentina in a friendly on Tuesday night, starting from 1930 hours.
