Super Eagles Assistant Coach Confident Of Victory Against Burkina Faso
Published: October 17, 2015
Super Eagles assistant coach Salisu Yusuf is confident the national team will emerge victorious when they clash with Burkina Faso in an African Nations Championship qualifier to be staged in Port Harcourt.
The former Enyimba and Kano Pillars gaffer and assistant coach Jean Francois Loscuito have been tutoring the home - based Eagles as Sunday Oliseh did not arrive in camp until Friday.
“We have prepared hard, and we know victory will be ours. We take this match very serious because it is the final qualifying round, and we will have no excuse for Nigerians if we fail, ” said Salisu Yusuf.
“We shall work hard to win handsomely, but we must score the first goal, before we score the other goals. That means we must approach the match with a level head and play normally.”
The Nigeria Football Federation has confirmed that Warri Wolves forward Gbolahan Salami will skipper the team today.
