Published: October 19, 2015
Portland Timbers frontman Fanendo Adi has been selected to the Major League Soccer Team of the Week for the latest round of matches contested in the American top flight on the heels of his performance against LA Galaxy.
Adi was one of the three Timbers players chosen for the honours, with defender Jorge Villafana and midfielder Diego Chara also making the ceremonial Team of the Week.
The result might have been different at the Stubhub Center (Carson, California) after Robbie Keane gave the home team the lead in the 36th minute but Adi netted a brace in the space of three minutes in the second half.
Fanendo Adi has 15 goals to his name in the MLS this term, and he is the eighth best striker in the MLS, according to the stats.
He was named the MLS Player of the Week for game week 14 last season.
