Alex Iwobi Is In The Frame To Make Champions League Bow
Published: November 04, 2015
Alex Iwobi is in the frame to make his Champions League debut for Arsenal in their crunch tie with Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday night.
With nine first - team players ruled out through injuries, the Nigeria international has been drafted into the squad and was put through his paces by the coaching staff before the squad departed for Munich.
It won’t be the first time Alex Iwobi will make the Gunners match day squad if he is selected by manager Arsene Wenger, as he was an unused substitute when they faced Galatasaray in Istanbul last December.
The 19 - year - old made his Premier League debut last weekend in Arsenal’s 3 - 0 rout of Swansea City.
