Chuba Akpom Proud Of Iwobi After Champions League Debut

Chuba Akpom has congratulated Hale End Academy product and childhood pal Alex Iwobi after he made his debut for Arsenal in the Champions League on Wednesday night, but was sad that his parent club lost 5 - 1 to Bayern Munich.
The Nigeria international took to the Allianz-Arena (München) in the 85th minute, replaced Arsenal ’s goalscorer on the night , Oliver Giroud .
Chuba Akpom said via Twitter on Thursday afternoon: “Unfortunate result yesterday for the gunners, but too proud of my bro making big steps #family @alexiwobi â�¤ï¸�.”
Akpom, who is on a season - long loan at Hull City, and Iwobi made the match day squad for the Gunners Champions League tie against Galatasaray on December 9, 2014, but both strikers failed to come off the bench.
