Eddy Onazi Cautions Golden Eaglets Not To Repeat The Same Mistake
Published: November 08, 2015
Lazio midfielder Eddy Onazi has seen it all with the Nigeria Under 17 National Team and has advised the Golden Eaglets to avoid repeating the same mistake the class of 2009 did.
The former Golden Eaglets number four was an unused substitute as the Nigeria U17s surprisingly lost 1 - 0 to Switzerland in front of 60,000 fans at the National Stadium, Abuja.
“I was once there, so I wish you guys the best so that you go one ahead of us. #GoldenEaglets #ChampionsInWaiting, ”Onazi tweeted .
A product of My People FC, Onazi featured in games against Germany, South Korea and Spain at the 2009 Fifa Under 17 World Cup, clocking up 79 minutes of game time at the tournament.
