Heerenveen Defender Kenneth Otigba Dedicates First Goal Of The Season To Mom
Published: November 08, 2015
SC Heerenveen defender Kenneth Otigba has dedicated his first goal in the new Eredivisie season to his mother, whom he has called his greatest supporter.
Despite the 4 - 1 scoreline in favour of The Super Frisians, the ex Hungary youth international has remained modest, saying that Twente gave them a run for their money and singled out Moroccan midfielder Hakim Ziyech for special praise.
With his 40th minute strike at De Grolsch Veste (Enschede), Otigba has now scored 6 goals in total for SC Heerenveen since he made his debut in the 2012 - 13 season.
“Twente has a really good team. Hakim Ziyech is a phenomenal player. He was many times dangerous but we were also lucky he missed the penalty and a freekick from short distance,” Kenneth Otigba told allnigeriasoccer.com.
“The result 4 - 1 suggests an easy win but it was not like that. Twente was pushing hard especially at 2 - 1, but luckily we could make our third goal. With that we knew the game is in the pocket. ”
The Heerenveen number three added : “ I dedicate my goal to my mum, who is always supporting me. She is my biggest fan.”
After the international break, SC Heerenveen, who are tenth in the standings, are guests to AZ Alkmaar.
