Fatai Alashe, Boyd Okwuonu Named To USA Roster For Brazil Clash

Two players of Nigerian descent have been named to the USA Under - 23 roster by Head Coach Andi Herzog ahead of two friendlies against Brazil this month.
San Jose Earthquakes midfielder Fatai Alashe is expected to suit up for the Americans alongside Real Salt Lake defender Boyd Okwuonu as both made the 19 - man roster.
The United States U23s play their first game against the South Americans on November 11 in Recife before completing their warm up schedule with another game against the same opponents four days later in Belem.
Michigan - born Alashe featured 28 times for San Jose Earthquakes in the MLS this term while Okwuonu has only 118 minutes of game time for Real Salt Lake’s first team.
Both Nigerian - Americans helped USA to a third - place finish at the 2015 CONCACAF Olympic Qualifying Championship.
