Sunday Oliseh Aware Rabiu Ibrahim Was Carrying A Knock Before Swaziland WCQ
Published: November 14, 2015
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Super Eagles manager, Sunday Oliseh, was aware that AS Trencin playmaker Rabiu Ibrahim was carrying a knock he picked up during training prior to the World Cup qualifier against Swaziland.
There were raised eyebrows when the attacking midfielder, who hopped off the bench immediately after the intermission, was replaced himself in the 65th minute of the encounter at the Somhlolo National Stadium.
After the game, Oliseh had claimed that Rabiu Ibrahim did not inform him he was not in tip - top condition, despite observing him at close quarters for more than three days prior to the contest against the Sihlangu Semnikati.
But multiple sources in the Super Eagles camp have informed this website that Oliseh ought to have given the ex Sporting Lisbon and PSV man ample time to prove his mettle before hauling him off in the second half.
The 24 - year - old played his first game for the Super Eagles in an African Cup of Nations qualifier against Chad in June.
