Plateau Sports Excellence Awards To Hold In January

The organisers of the Plateau Sports Excellence Awards for 2015 have picked January 2016 for this year’s edition of the showpiece.
Just like the last edition which was held in January this year, there would be five categories: the Special Recognition, Administration, Technical Department , Active Athletes and Media Practice categories.
In addition, there will be National Awards this year for some individuals and organisations that have distinguished themselves in the promotion of sports particularly at grassroots level.
Nigeria international tennis Player, Elizabeth Garros Pam, was voted overall athlete of 2014.
The likes of long distance runner Onan Saleh, US- based footballer, Nansel Selbol and Giwa FC’s Ibrahim Shaibu were also honored.
In the Media Category, Samson Omale of Silverbirds Rhythm 93. 7 FM was voted Sports Presenter of the Year, radio while Kaneng Ladoja won the Television version of the Award.
Peter Amine of the News Agency of Nigeria won the online version.
Hilsaint Global Sports Ltd. Organisers of the second edition says they would partner with the Plateau State Sports Council as well as Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, SWAN, to make this year’s edition a huge success.
