Highly - rated teenager Sadiq Umar scored his first professional goal in Roma’s 2 - 0 win over Genoa at the Stadio Olimpico on match day 17 in the Italian top - flight.
The number 97 replaced Egypt star Mohamed Salah in the 82nd minute and celebrated his maiden goal for the Giallorossi a minute before full time.
With Genoa threatening a comeback following the dismissal of Edin Dzeko, Sadiq Umar killed off the opponents when he headed home William Vainqueur’s cross.
The Spezia loanee made his debut for Roma in their 2 - 2 draw with Bologna on November 21, hopping off the bench in the 88th minute.
The 18 - year - old Umar has scored 14 goals in 10 appearances for the youth team in all competitions.
