The attacking midfielder, who celebrated his 18th birthday in December, has put pen to paper on a six - month loan deal with the Segunda Liga side, with the club retaining the option to acquire him from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer.
A product of Mutunchi Academy, Yahaya was courted by the likes of Sporting Braga and Celta de Vigo before he agreed terms with Portimonense.
Musa Yahaya can not make his competitive debut for Portimonense on Saturday against Porto II because his International Transfer Certificate will be sent by the Nigeria Football Federation to Portugal sometime next week.
The teenager will undergo a three - day medical with his new employer starting from Monday, January 11.
