Ideye On Target As Olympiakos Continue To Set Records In Greece
Published: April 07, 2016
Greek champions Olympiakos defeated Iraklis without difficulty on Wednesday evening in the Super League, with Nigeria international Brown Ideye assisting the Reds record their 26th win of the season from 28 games.
Jimmy Durmaz opened scoring in the 12th minute before Ideye notched his ninth goal in the top-flight one minute before the intermission.
Against the same opponents back in November, the former West Brom man hit target and has also scored against three of the so-called top four clubs in Greece- PAOK, Panathinaikos and AEK Athens- this season.
Following the win over Iraklis, Olympiakos have now accumulated 79 points and have surpassed their total points tally of 78 which they set when they won the league back in the 2000-2001 season.
Next up for Ideye and his teammates is a trip to Agrinio for the week 29 clash against Panaitolikos.
