Ex-Golden Eaglets Star Obasi Arrives In Abuja Hoping To Train With Nigeria U20s

Allnigeriasoccer.com has been informed that former Nigeria U17 international Chigozie Obasi has arrived in Abuja full of confidence that he will join the Flying Eagles in their workouts as from Thursday.
The 17-year-old was invited for the three –day open screening for new players that ended last Saturday by Nigeria U20s coach Emmanuel Amuneke but could not attend the exercise due to personal commitments.
Now, the central midfielder has opened a line of communication with the coaches in the Nigeria youth setup and they have assured him that he will join the invited players.
Obasi was one of the youngest players at the 2013 Fifa U17s and made two appearances off the bench against Asians Iran and Iraq.
He was invited for trials with Deportivo La Coruna, Monaco and Bastia after the tournament in the United Arab Emirates.
