Premier League Team News: Ighalo Five Games Shy Of Equaling Yobo Record At Everton
Published: April 16, 2016
Odion Ighalo is poised to make his 33rd straight appearance in the English Premier League this season, having been named in the Hornets squad for their clash with West Brom on Saturday afternoon at The Hawthorns.
If Ighalo is selected in the Watford lineup for their remaining five fixtures, he will equal the record set by Joseph Yobo (for a Nigerian player) during the 2006-2007 season while on the books of Everton.
The former Nigeria skipper featured in every single game contested by the Toffees in that campaign, 38 in total.
In other team news, Scotland international Ikechi Anya starts on the bench for Watford, while Victor Anichebe is among the seven subs for the Baggies.
Former England striker Gabby Agbonlahor has fitness concerns and is not in the Aston Villa squad to face Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Ross Barkley is on the bench for Everton in their game against Southampton at Goodison Park .
