Published: April 16, 2016
Aaron Samuel has spoken of his delight after netting his maiden goal for CSKA Moscow in their Russian Premier League clash against bitter rivals Lokomotiv which ended 1-1.
The Nigeria international was handed his first start by manager Leonid Slutsky and he repaid his faith by rescuing a point for the Army Men six minutes from time.
“It was a good game, we would have taken all the three points but we were unlucky. We had bad luck, hit the post three times and missed several chances, ” said Aaron Samuel to allnigeriasoccer.com.
“Before we started, the coach told me to play my normal game and mount pressure on the opponents, I am happy scoring.
“I am dedicating my first goal for CSKA Moscow to the supporters, the coach and my teammates for supporting me since I joined this club.”
