Portland Timbers Striker Fanendo Adi Continues To Break Records Upon Records

Fanendo Adi hopped off the bench in the 63rd minute of Portland Timbers 3-1 victory over San Jose Earthquakes at Providence Park on Saturday in Major League Soccer.
According to the Timbers statisticians, the goal netted by the Nigerian in the ninth minute of second-half stoppage time is tied for the second latest scored by a player in the MLS, but it is the latest goal scored by a player of the club in the regular season.
The player who has scored the latest goal in the MLS era is Dominic Oduro, who found the back of the net for Houston Dynamo in the 100th minute on September 25,2010.
With his brace against San Jose Earthquakes, Fanendo Adi has notched seven goals off the bench , the most by a Timbers player since the start of the MLS.
Statistically, the 25-year-old is presently the best striker in the American top-flight, having netted 6 goals along with United States international Chris Wondolowski.
