Gbenga Arokoyo was delighted to be back on the field after spending close to three months on the sidelines as a result of a rupture of his thigh muscle.
The central defender last kicked a ball in a competitive fixture for Gaziantepspor on January 20 when he lasted only 45 minutes of the 3-2 win over Adanaspor in the Cup, before he stepped out onto the Baakehir Fatih Terim Stadyumu (İstanbul) on Sunday.
“Just want to say thank you Lord Jesus and also to reveal your Glory for my first Super Lig goal, and also to be able to play again after three month of injury.
“Thank you because you never fail me,”Arokoyo said in a Facebook post.
The 23-year-old Arokoyo opened his account for Gaziantepspor in their 4-1 loss to Basaksehir, and has provided two assists this season against Fenerbahce and Rizespor.
