Wolfsburg Trainee Osimhen Finishes Off Brilliant Team Move As Nigeria U20s Beat Kaduna Utd
Published: May 11, 2016
The Flying Eagles defeated Nigeria National League side Kaduna United 1-0 in a scrimmage held at the Fifa Goal Project in Abuja on Wednesday evening.
It appeared the two teams will go into the interval level but Wolfsburg trainee Victor Osimhen came to the rescue of the Nigeria U20s.
On 40 minutes, skipper Kelechi Nwakali sent a through ball to Orji Okonkwo, whose pass to Osimhen split the Kaduna United defense and the Fifa U17s Golden Boot winner bit the offside trap before slotting the ball past the goalkeeper.
In the second half, the Flying Eagles dominated possession but could not convert their chances, with Nwakali and Kingsley Michael narrowly failing to extend the lead.
The Emmanuel Amuneke-led side beat Katsina United 3-1 in their last game before today’s meeting with Kaduna United.
