Oghenekaro Etebo Arrives In Lagos Ahead Of Super Eagles Friendlies
Published: May 18, 2016
CD Feirense attacking midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo arrived in Lagos on Tuesday evening, three days after helping his Portuguese setup gain promotion to the Primeira Liga.
The former Warri Wolves star thought it best to join the Super Eagles backroom staff that will travel to France from Nigeria, instead of making the 1,031- mile journey from Santa Maria da Feira to Rouen, venue of the Super Eagles clash with Mali.
“Etebo arrived in Lagos around 5 pm on Tuesday from Portugal and will be in Warri shortly, ” Etebo’s rep Eddy Ogbemudia told allnigeriasoccer.com.
“He will leave with the other contingent in Nigeria on the night of Tuesday, 24th May from Abuja. ”
The 20-year-old Etebo has two caps for the Super Eagles A Team and was on target against Egypt in an African Cup of Nations qualifier back in March.
