Portland Timbers Get Injury Boost As Fanendo Adi Injury Is Not Severe
Published: May 18, 2016
It had been feared that Portland Timbers Designated Player Fanendo Adi was set for a spell on the sidelines but the Oregon outfit have been handed a boost with news that his injury is not severe.
Last weekend, the Super Eagles hopeful had to be substituted few minutes after scoring against New York City and initial reports had suggested that he picked up a hamstring injury.
If Fanendo Adi passes a fitness test, he could be in action on Sunday against Vancouver Whitecaps, though Portland Timbers have refused to comment on his availability for the fixture at Providence Park.
The 25-year-old striker has scored eight goals this season and was named Player of the Month in the American topflight for April 2016.
