Japanese-Nigerian Striker Ado Onaiwu Not Given A Run-Out Against Guinea
Published: May 25, 2016
JEF United striker Ado Onaiwu was not selected by Japan U23s coach Makoto Teguramori for Wednesday evening’s clash against Guinea at the Toulon Tournament.
The Saitama-born frontman had been given a run-out against Paraguay and Portugal but was an unused substitute for today’s game at the Stade Antoine Baptiste, Six-Fours-les-Plages.
After two losses in the competition, Japan beat Guinea 2-1, with Minamino scoring the match winner in the 39th minute after Soumah had equalized for the Africans in the 10th minute.
Onaiwu will be hoping to feature for the Japanese in their final game in the group against the England U21s on Friday evening at the Stade Léo Lagrange, Toulon.
