Nigeria Target Dominic Iorfa Helps England Glovesman Post Another Shutout In Toulon
Published: May 25, 2016
The England U21s continued their impressive showing at the Toulon Tournament, and are poised to qualify for the final after thrashing Paraguay 4-0 at the Six-Fours-les-Plages on Wednesday evening.
Against a potentially tough opponent, manager Gareth Southgate recalled Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Dominic Iorfa to the starting line-up, having left him out of the squad that beat Guinea on Monday.
Nigeria target Iorfa put in an impressive shift against the South Americans, helping goalkeeper Jordan Pickford post his second shutout in France.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek hit a brace after Lewis Baker had opened scoring in the tenth minute, then Nathan Redmond closed scoring in the 65th minute, as the Young Lions secured their third win on the spin.
