Umar Aminu Clarifies He Has Not Signed A Three-Year Deal With Besiktas
Published: May 26, 2016
Umar Aminu has admitted that Turkish Super Lig champs Beşiktaş J.K are exploring ways to capture his signature but talks of a deal being imminent are wide of the mark.
Speculations are rife at home and abroad that the Optimum Performance FC Abuja product has ended his collaboration with Osmanlıspor after appending his signature to a three-year deal with the Black Eagles, but this has been dismissed by the Super Eagles rising star.
“Yes, Beşiktaş J.K want me I think, but there is no signature yet. People have been asking me about this issue but I am still a player of Osmanlıspor,” Aminu told allnigeriasoccer.com briefly before leaving for training on Thursday morning.
The 21-year-old is presently in France with the Super Eagles and could earn his third cap for the national team on Friday against Mali.
In 28 outings in the Turkish topflight last term, Aminu scored 8 goals.
