Published: May 30, 2016
Super Eagles interim coach Salisu Yusuf has stressed that his charges will be firing on all cylinders when they confront Luxembourg in an international friendly at the Stade Josy Barthel on Tuesday evening.
Based on the latest Fifa ranking of national teams, the Red Lions are 79 positions behind the Super Eagles, managing two wins in their last ten fixtures.
“There are no longer small teams in international football. You could get a sucker punch if you under –estimate any team. We will go out there and play to win,” said Salisu Yusuf to thenff.com.
The coach has strongly hinted that Chelsea defender Kenneth Omeruo and Chippa United netminder Daniel Akpeyi will be named in the starting XI against Luxembourg.
The two players were not in action in the friendly against Mali on Friday evening.
