Siasia Cancels Friday Evening Training Session Ahead Scrimmage Vs Flying Eagles
Published: June 24, 2016
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Dream Team VI coach Samson Siasia has cancelled the training session supposed to take place at the practice pitch of the National Stadium in Abuja on Friday evening.
The Nigeria U23s manager is taking tomorrow morning’s scrimmage against the Flying Eagles very seriously after his side lost 2-1 to the younger national team last month.
Ahead of the trip to Atlanta next week for a training camp, the players have complained that the workouts have been too strenuous and Siasia has decided to give the squad the evening off, so they will be in good condition for the test on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Abia Warriors defender Ndifreke Effiong reported to camp today after he was earlier excused to take part in league matches for his club.
He was one of the home-based players named to the 35-man roster announced by the Nigerian Federation on Friday.
