Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Barcelona defender Godswill Ekpolo is doubtful to make his official debut for Nigeria at the Olympic Games, having committed his international future to the African powerhouse ahead of Spain.
The wing-back was not amongst the players that underwent medical examinations in Abuja on Tuesday morning ahead of the trip to Atlanta, United States, and has departed the training camp.
Ekpolo, 21, had his last training session with the Dream Team VI on Friday, June 24th, and took part in the scrimmage against the Flying Eagles on Saturday morning.
Born in Benin City, the fullback first played for Nigeria at any level in March when the Olympic squad beat Brazil 1-0 in a friendly.
His name was not included in the 35-man provisional roster for the Games.
