Exclusive : Kalmar Make Move For Nigeria Defender Gbenga Arokoyo
Published: July 08, 2016
Swedish Allsvenskan side Kalmar are eager to sign Nigeria national-teamer Gbenga Arokoyo in the summer transfer window, allnigeriasoccer.com understands.
Arokoyo, 23, is currently a free agent following the termination of his contract with Gaziantepspor as a result of financial issues and could be making a return to Sweden, where he played before his shift to the Turkish club.
Gaziantepspor are still owing the central defender a part of his wages and they have not even paid the balance of his transfer fees, in the region of 30,000 euros, to Mjällby AIF.
Kalmar have started talks with Arokoyo’s intermediary over a move to the Guldfågeln Arena.
The Kwara Football Academy product was one of the key players at Mjällby AIF before he joined Gaziantepspor in 2014.
