Mikel Vows To Cheer For Neymar And Co In Olympic Final Against Germany

Speaking at a press conference on Friday, Dream Team VI skipper John Obi Mikel still habours hopes of winning Nigeria’s first medal at the 2016 Olympic Games, and will support the Brazilian team in their final with Germany.
Nigeria will face Honduras in the bronze medal match at Mineirão, Belo Horizonte on Saturday, having lost to Germany in Wednesday’s semifinal.
“We hope to play better than we played in the last match . The fans have supported us a lot and we hope to win that medal, ” Mikel told reporters.
“I think it has been wonderful this Olympics for us. Brazilian fans really like football , as well as in our culture.
“People have given us a lot of support I hope that tomorrow (Saturday ) we get that bronze medal. ”
Brazilian referee Sandro Ricci will officiate the meeting between Nigeria and Honduras, Emerson de Carvalho and Marcelo Van Gasse (both Brazil) are the assistant referees and the fourth official is Sergei Karasev (Russia).
