Published: August 20, 2016
Nigeria coach Samson Siasia has named his final starting line-up at the Olympic Games as the Dream Team prepare to take on Honduras in the bronze medal game at Mineirão, Belo Horizonte.
This is Nigeria’s final opportunity to win a medal at the Olympic Games, so the former Nantes striker has named his strongest possible line-up, though Oghenekaro Etebo did not make the line-up due to fitness issues.
Emmanuel Daniel will continue his goalkeeping duties, with William Troost-Ekong, Shehu Abdullahi, Sincere Seth and Stanley Amuzie starting in defense.
Azubuike Okechukwu returns to the starting XI after serving a one-game ban and he is joined in midfield by skipper Obi Mikel and Usman Mohammed.
