Chelsea Star Victor Moses Tells Nigerians To Be Proud Of Achievement Of Mikel
Published: August 23, 2016
Victor Moses says he is proud of the achievement of Chelsea teammate and Nigeria captain John Obi Mikel at the Olympic Games.
If we are to believe reports back home, the winger was one of the experienced players that was considered to beef up the Dream Team squad by manager Samson Siasia before he announced his provisional 35-man roster.
Moses has taken his omission from the squad in good faith, and was delighted that Nigeria won the bronze medal match by beating Honduras on Saturday.
“I was watching the games. Obi was the captain, the leader of the side and he did really well for them,” Victor Moses told the official website of Chelsea.
“It wasn’t easy for them to go out to Brazil and win a medal so I’m very proud.
“They did their best so to come home with a bronze medal is great and I hope the whole country are proud of them.”
Moses is expected to make his first start of the new season in Tuesday’s Football League Cup tie against Bristol Rovers.
