Chelsea Coach Hails Ike Ugbo After Scoring Maiden Goal For U23 Team
Published: August 23, 2016
Chelsea U23 coach Adi Viveash was delighted to see Nigerian striker Ike Ugbo score a brilliant goal against Liverpool in the Premier League 2 last night.
Ugbo’s all-round game caught the eye and he would have scored more than one goal if he had converted all the chances that came his way.
“I’m pleased for all the scorers but particularly Ike because there is pressure when you’re the number nine in this team,” Viveash said to chelseafc.com.
“He scored a great goal and could have had a hat-trick but it was a good night for us all-round.”
Ugbo’s goal against the Reds was his maiden goal for the development side of the Blues.
