Victor Moses Pleased His Goal Helped Chelsea Qualify For Third Round
Published: August 24, 2016
Nigeria international Victor Moses was pleased after netting his first goal for Chelsea in over three years in Tuesday night’s Cup clash against Bristol Rovers.
Prior to the game at Stamford Bridge, the winger had not found the back of the net for the Blues since May 2, 2013 when he hit target in the 52nd minute in his team’s 3-1 victory over Basel in the Europa League.
“Great to get through to the next round! Always good to get on the scoresheet too. Thanks for all the support #CFC, ” said Moses on Twitter.
Moses has enjoyed loan spells at Liverpool, Stoke City and West Ham, but it is all but confirmed that he will remain at Chelsea when the transfer window closes for business at the end of this month.
The 25-year-old has made two appearances off the bench in the Premier League this term.
