Nigerian Defender In Line To Make Champions League Debut For Manchester City
Published: August 24, 2016
Nigerian talent Tosin Adarabioyo is in the frame to make his Champions League debut when Manchester City face Romanian side Steaua Bucharest on Wednesday night.
The England youth international was one of the Academy stars that trained with the first team of the Citizens on Tuesday, fueling speculation that manager Pep Guardiola will give him a run out at the Etihad Stadium tonight.
Adarabioyo was a non-playing substitute in the group stage of the Champions League last season, against Juventus and Borussia Mönchengladbach.
With City thrashing Steaua Bucharest 5-0 in the first leg, the coach is expected to rest some key players in the first team.
The 18-year-old Adarabioyo practiced with the first team during pre-season.
