Official : Monaco Defender Elderson Echiejile Joins Standard Liege On Loan

Through official channels, Belgian club Standard Liege have announced the signing of Elderson Echiejile on a season-long loan from Monaco.
At the end of the 2016-2017 season, The Reds can sign the Nigeria national-teamer on a permanent basis, having inserted a purchase option into their agreement with Monaco.
Echiejile started off his professional career abroad with Stade Rennes before joining Sporting Braga, where he spent three and a half seasons.
The 28-year-old is currently training with the Super Eagles ahead of their African Cup of Nations qualifier with Tanzania on Saturday, and will link up with his new teammates after that game in Uyo.
