Porto defender Chidozie Awaziem has been rewarded with his second call up to the national team after catching the eye of the coaching staff whilst representing the Portuguese setup.
The 19-year-old is dreaming of making his international debut against Tanzania on Saturday, having missed the international friendlies against Mali and Luxembourg due to a visa hitch.
“I am so glad to be called up to represent my country, it has always being my dream to play for my country in any tournament, ” said Chidozie Awaziem.
“I want to thank the coach for his belief in me and inviting me once more. ”
The former Golden Eaglets trainee went on : “To the captain and the Federation too, I am so happy and honored. It is a great privilege for me to show myself.
“I know I will give my best and help the country in any aspect when it is needed.”
The Porto coach promoted Awaziem to the first team in the second half of last season, and he has made ten league appearances in total for the squad to date.
