Manchester City have congratulated their striker Kelechi Iheanacho for scoring the game-winner against Tanzania in an African Cup of Nations qualifier.
The game was heading for a draw until the 78th minute when the City number 72 broke the deadlock, striking a beauty of an effort from outside the penalty box.
Together with that strike, Kelechi Iheanacho has scored in each of his last three games for the Super Eagles, and that includes two match winners.
“@67Kelechi’s wonder strike gives @NGSuperEagles a 1-0 win over Tanzania ð³ð¬ Well done, Kelechi! #NGATAN #mcfc,’’Manchester City tweeted.
The 19-year-old Iheanacho made his fifth appearance for the senior national team against the Taifa Stars.
