Proud Dad Watches Iheanacho Live; Striker Off To UK Ahead Manchester Derby

Kelechi Iheanacho’s father, James Iheanacho, was among the spectators at the Akwa Ibom International Stadium in Saturday’s African Cup of Nations qualifier between Nigeria and Tanzania.
He was very happy for his son who netted the game-winner against the East Africans, adding that the match would have ended in a draw if not for his goal in the 78th minute.
Ahead of the Manchester derby, James Iheanacho has revealed that Kelechi is on his way back to England to resume training with Manchester City.
“Kelechi is on his way to the United Kingdom, I left him in the hotel room this morning, ” James Iheanacho told allnigeriasoccer.com.
“I was at the stadium live on Saturday, I was very happy that he scored. I was rejoicing in the stands when he scored.
“He scored ten or twelves minutes to the end of the game or it would have been a draw. ”
Kelechi Iheanacho’s strike against Tanzania was his first competitive goal for the senior national team since his debut in 2015.
