Lyon Send Scout To Run The Rule Over Promising Nigerian Defender, Arsenal Talents
Published: September 15, 2016
The UEFA Youth League is an avenue for youngsters to showcase their talents before breaking into the first team of their respective clubs.
According to French daily newspaper, Le Parisien, Ligue 1 club Lyon sent one of their trusted scouts to run the rule over the talents during the meeting between PSG and Arsenal at Stade Municipal Georges Lefèvre on Tuesday evening.
Nigerian defender Tolaji Bola would have impressed the scout present after helping goalkeeper Hugo Keto post a shutout following his introduction in the 82nd minute.
It was the London-born stopper’s first-ever appearance in the UEFA Youth League, having failed to come off the bench in last season’s clash with Dinamo Zagreb, where a certain Alex Iwobi lasted the distance.
Tolaji Bola penned a professional contract with the Gunners shortly after he clocked 17 in January.
