Super Eagles Make Progress In Latest Fifa Ranking

Football governing body, Fifa, on Thursday published its latest ranking of National Teams.
Compared to their position the previous month, the Super Eagles have climbed three places and now occupy the 64th position, while they are 14th in the continental ranking.
Ivory Coast, Algeria, Senegal, Tunisia and Ghana are the top five teams in Africa in that order.
Our other two rivals to book a ticket to the 2018 World Cup - Cameroon and Zambia - sit in the 59th and 92nd place respectively in the updated ranking.
In the global ranking, 2014 World Cup vice-champions Argentina lead the way followed by Belgium and Germany while Colombia and Brazil are joint-fourth.
The next ranking will be published by the official website of Fifa, fifa.com, on October 20, 2016.
