Chelsea Face Roadblock In Recall Of Nigerian Wonderkid From Bristol City
Published: October 13, 2016
Chelsea must allow the prolific Nigerian striker Tammy Abraham see out his loan spell with Championship outfit Bristol City.
The London Evening Standard says The Blues didn’t insert a recall clause into the agreement reached with The Robins in August, meaning he will remain at BS3 2EJ until May 2017.
Abraham is highly rated by Chelsea boss Antonio Conte, with the Italian manager including him in his 30-man traveling party to the United States for pre-season training, but agreed to farm him out on loan to improve his chances of playing on a regular basis.
The 19-year-old is having a breakthrough season, with 13 goals from 15 matches for Bristol City and England 21s.
The London-born Tammy Abraham was named the Football League Championship Player of the Month for September.
