Exclusive : Atletico Madrid Mulling Over Move For NPFL Hotshot Obaje
Published: October 15, 2016
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that the Nigeria Professional Football League top scorer Godwin Obaje is being linked with a move to Atlético Madrid in the January transfer window.
Whilst it is more or less cast in stone that Super Eagles netminder Ikechukwu Ezenwa will join Los Colchoneros in the next few months having penned a preliminary contract, the capital outfit are mulling over a move for the Super Eagles invitee.
The same scouts that brokered the deal taking the FC Ifeanyi Ubah glovesman to Atlético have opened preliminary talks over the possibility of signing the Wikki Tourists sensation.
The representatives of the La Liga club trailed Obaje all the way to Ndola, hoping to run the rule over him in the World Cup qualifier against Zambia but he did not come off the bench.
Aged 19, Godwin Obaje scored 18 goals in the NPFL this past season.
