Wilfred Ndidi Scores Another Wonder Goal As Genk Beat Athletic Bilbao
Published: October 20, 2016
Super Eagles right fullback Wilfred Ndidi scored his first goal in a European club competition on Thursday night in Racing Genk’s 2-0 win over Athletic Club at Luminus Arena.
Brabec started the scoring for the Belgian side in the 40th minute, before Ndidi fired home a shot with the outside of his foot in the 83rd minute and that was the final score.
The goal was similar to his strike against Club Brugge exactly six months ago which was voted the best goal in the Belgian top-flight in the 2015-2016 campaign.
Racing Genk lined up in a 4-3-3 formation at the start of the match, with Ndidi playing as a central midfielder.
The former Nath Boys ace has racked up nine appearances in the Europa League, including the qualifying rounds, this season.
