Sone Aluko Scores As Fulham Beat Brentford
Published: November 04, 2016
Sone Aluko scored for Fulham in their 2-0 win over Brentford on game week sixteen in the Sky Bet Championship on Friday night.
The former Hull City star has hit a rich vein of form in recent weeks, that saw him notch three assists in the Cottagers 5-0 rout of Huddersfield last week and winning the Man of the Match award in the process.
On 36 minutes, Aluko tapped home from close range after his initial effort was saved by goalkeeper Daniel Bentley to give the home team the lead.
Four minutes after the interval, the number 24 spilled a golden opportunity to double his team’s advantage when he got on the end of a cross but steered his header wide, then saw his shot drift over in the 67th minute.
The Super Eagles striker was later replaced with thirteen minutes remaining , after earlier receiving treatment on the pitch.
Aluko has started all the matches contested by Fulham in the English second-tier this term except their clash with Wigan Athletic in September which he missed as a result of injury.
